Kill Devil Hills Event Home Wedding | Ivy & Bill | Kill Devil Hills Wedding

I ask all of my Outer Banks wedding clients – what made you decide to get married here? What are you looking forward to? Almost every time I get a similar answer – the entire week of celebrations that they get to have with all their loved ones! The best part about a destination wedding is that the festivities can last all week and not just one night!

Ivy & Bill did just that! They brought down their very closest family and friends to share a beach house for the week in Kill Devil Hills – this one via Carolina Designs! –  and had fun activities and events planned throughout the week! The guys golfed at Nags Head Golf Links, the ladies did yoga on the beach and they had a dinner party planned for every night! I was fortunate to help Ivy plan many of the week’s fun itinerary events, including the rehearsal dinner evening & the wedding itself!

For rehearsal night, Steamers Catering came over and served up a traditional seafood feast! Our initial plan was to do everything outside on the beach but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans and a May nor’easter pushed us inside. Didn’t stop us! We just moved the furniture out of the way, setup the Metro Rentals farm tables for dinner and then Bells & Whistles strung lights and added the centerpieces!

Since they also brought with them their photographer & videographer, they were able to have them there to capture a few of these additional activities as well! Below are some photos of the rehearsal dinner by Sunshine & Reign Photography.

For wedding day, the Lovie’s Salon ladies came to the house and got everyone all dolled up and we had the ceremony right on the beach in front of the house. A family member, Seth, officiated and then after some photos on the beach the whole group jumped on the OBX Trolley and headed to dinner at Sugar Creek Restaurant! We reserved their gazebo that overlooks the Sound and it was the perfect spot for this intimate wedding dinner! Coastal DJ was there to provide music for the evening and the amazing Patty Bakes created a cake that was just as delicious as it was beautiful for the newlyweds to enjoy!

Here are some of my favorites from the wedding day by Sunshine & Reign Photography and also the wedding week video by Liz of Elizabeth Eve Productions.
