Allison & Shawn had the very first wedding at the new Corolla event home, Sound to Sea Beach Club! This home is incredible & features the first lazy river on the Outer Banks! So cool 🙂 You can rent this amazing Corolla event home via Twiddy & Co! Last April we saw some crazy weather on the Outer Banks – 90s one day and 50’s the next – on Allison & Shawn’s day it happened to be one of those sunny & 90 degree days, quite unusual for the Outer Banks that time of year! These guys were troopers though and you’d never know how hot is was in any of the photos! Just looks like a gorgeous spring beach day 🙂 Lovie’s Salon did hair & makeup for the girls and the heat definitely put that to the test! The verdict? Flawless!
Rentals, including the tent, were from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals and Flower Girls OBX did all of the florals & decor. I did a little DIY with the hydrangea jars but all the pretty greenery & blue thistle ones – all Flower Girls!
Both the officiant & the cake were taken on by friends of the bride & groom. Red Sky Cafe catered the delicious dinner & provided the bartending service while DJ Bruce made the party happen!
These two were so incredible to work with & I loved creating the day for them! Did I mention that they live in California? Yep – we were planning cross-country for a year before the wedding – terrifying for some but totally doable if you have a wedding planner! 🙂
