Wild Horse Wedding | Arielle & Miguel | Carova Wedding

The Wild Horse Event Home via Twiddy on the 4×4 beaches north of Corolla is one of the most expansive and perfect for a destination wedding! One of the best parts of this house is that there are SO many different spaces you can use for your event – multiple decks, a dining room & even a “ballroom” space!

Arielle & Miguel selected this house because of all the flexibility it offered and it was perfect for all of the family & friends that came from near and far, even internationally, to celebrate with this couple.

The house has a beautiful area upstairs adjacent to the master suite full of natural light that the ladies used to get dolled up by the Glimmer Salon ladies. The bridesmaids all chose their own dresses in a color palette of sea-foam and sunset colors and the end result was incredible! Instead of carrying traditional bouquets, they each carried a small lantern! Arielle’s bouquet was a stunner by Bells & Whistles and each of the boutonniere’s were also created to compliment.

The ceremony was held on the open air lower dune-side deck and we created a really cool setup in collaboration with I Do OBX Weddings and Amaranth & Artifact. While most of the ceremony chairs were rented and setup by I Do OBX, the front rows were actually an assortment of vintage chairs & settees from Amaranth & Artifact’s collection. The copper arch was created by the clients and then we combined some of their collected items with more of A+A’s rentals to create the tableau. Tony Joseph officiated the ceremony just before sunset!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour appetizers & drinks by Steamers while the wedding party and newlyweds took photos on the beach. The dinner portion of the reception was setup on the upstairs deck, which offers an unparalleled view of the dunes & ocean – just magical at sunset! The tables were a mix of round tables & farm tables from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals and all of the centerpieces were actually DIY by the bride & groom! They spent the year before the wedding thrifting and collecting this amazing collection of decor to create their world-traveler seaside theme and I would say they nailed it! Each table was different than the next and it was just so unique!

After the Steamers Catering buffet dinner, guests moved back down to the lower level deck to dance the night away! Those special ceremony chairs & couches? They were repurposed into a fun lounge area for guests to relax in! Adrian of Coastal DJ had the party kicked up right away and then per family tradition, we culminated the night with the “Hora Loca” which was a crazy mix of dances, shots, party hats & beads, glow sticks & even a dancing pirate to keep the party going! This was definitely a party I’ll not soon forget!

Guests were also in for another treat – instead of one big cake for everyone to have a slice of….Arielle & Miguel had Great Cakes! create personal mini cakes for everyone to enjoy! These mini cakes complimented the color palette of the reception and were even complete with metallic gold accents!

We couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous evening and the photos that Sarah D’Ambra Photography captured are proof of this incredible celebration! Enjoy some of my favorites below!
