Roanoke Island Festival Park weddings are just so magical and definitely a unique destination wedding venue on the Outer Banks! Alison & Brian’s wedding took place on an overcast day last May and even though the sun wasn’t shining, the bright & happy florals by Bells & Whistles brought sunshine to the wedding decor anyway! The bouquets were fun shades of yellow & orange with long, trailing ribbons that danced in the wind. The reception tables all included mismatched gold candles, geometric gold lanterns & mossy details that we’re brightened by the fun rainbow watercolor table numbers. This same rainbow watercolor theme was continued with the seating chart & then also on the beautiful hand-painted cake! This bright, fun cake was one of my favorite of the year & was baked by Sinful Treats, a bakery in Virginia.
The ceremony arch was designed by Alison & then built by her family – and what a showstopper this geometric arch was! How cool to create a unique style that will only ever be at your wedding?! The ceremony was officiated by a close friend of the bride & groom.
Bombshells took care of the ladies for hair & makeup as they got ready at the picturesque Tranquil House Inn across the bridge in Downtown Manteo. Rentals were provided by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals.
Ortegaz treated everyone to a delicious dinner & even fun desserts like churros! Another family friend, DJ Ed, kept everyone on the dance floor all night and it was clear that this group cared greatly for each other and truly wanted to celebrate the newlyweds!
