Atlantis Event Home Wedding | Katelyn & Chris | Kill Devil Hills Wedding

New-ish on the event home scene is the town of Kill Devil Hills which in the last couple years has seen the building of a handful of really amazing wedding event homes on the oceanfront! Atlantis via Twiddy is one of those newer homes that is a great option for small – medium weddings! Katelyn & Chris chose this great spot for their wedding last Fall and it was just perfect!

It was one of those weird Fall days were it was bright blue skies and gorgeous but the east wind was pretty powerful but it just made for more dramatic photos, including a photo bomb by a kitesurfer! Scott Williams of Repeat After Me helped everyone to take the wind in stride during the ceremony. Ceremony chairs were provided by I Do OBX Chairs.

Katelyn & Chris opted for more of a cocktail style reception with lots of cocktail tables and seating for some but not a chair for every single guest to sit all at once. To compliment that, they also chose a station and hors d’oeuvres style menu from Steamers so that guests could nibble on a slider or a mini taco while mingling and not feel like they had to get a plate and sit down. Of course the food was all delicious!

The reception rentals were a combination of Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals for the cocktail tables & linens and then Renee Landry Events for the farm tables & gold chiavari chairs. Renee’s team also did the bistro lighting over the reception lawn and created the incredible florals! Honestly Katelyn’s bouquet is one of my all time favorites! It was just so bright and fun but also soft and sweet! I can’t get enough of all the garden roses!

John Harper was our DJ for the evening and made sure everyone had the best time! This crew was a blast too – they definitely knew how to have a good time! Guests also enjoyed cupcakes from Great Cakes in her famous Key Lime Bliss flavor!

Thankfully Rich Coleman of Coleman Shots was there to capture all of the beautiful moments – it was truly a special day celebrating Katelyn & Chris. Enjoy the gorgeous photos below!
