Hatteras Island Wedding | Tori & Jeff | Hatteras Wedding

Hatteras Island is truly a special place! It’s a bit further of a drive than the Northern Outer Banks, but most people would say that it’s worth it! It’s a bit slower pace, a little more laid back than even all the other areas of the Outer Banks. Tori & Jeff chose Hatteras as their wedding location because their families had been visiting for years! As one of their most favorite places to visit, it only made sense to bring all their family and friends down and get married there.

Tori and I have one major thing in common – our love for PINEAPPLES! She loves all things bright and fun and tropical just like I do and so planning and designing together was a dream! We really went big and brought in ALL the colors – if you ever met Tori you would know that fits her personality perfectly! We took the blank canvas of the Hatteras Civic Center and really transformed it with the help of our amazing vendor team! Honeysuckle Events did an incredible job sourcing bright, tropical flowers and tons of unique items to create the tablescapes and other decor accents. The gorgeous centerpieces were complimented by bright, rainbow napkins which we alternated throughout the dining room and the perfect bamboo chairs to complete the look – both from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. Outside, the Civic Center has a really great deck and outdoor area that we transformed into our dance floor and a fun tropical, boho lounge! The lounge setups (as well as the sweetheart table and chairs inside!) were brought by Amaranth & Artifact! Oh and we definitely made sure to bring in pineapples wherever we could – including mini pineapples in the bouquets, mini pineapple boutonnières for the guys and of course pineapples on the tables! Honeysuckle and Amaranth & Artifact made the perfect team and nailed it!

All the ladies were pampered by Glimmer on the day of the wedding and everyone looked gorgeous! I also loved that they wore complimentary Show Me Your Mumu dresses and had floral pieces from Honeysuckle to add to their hair! Coastal DJ provided the music for the evening, and even climbed into the dune to provide ceremony music for us when the beach wasn’t very cooperative 🙂 You won’t know it from the amazing photos by Caroline Jarvis Photography, but on the day of Tori & Jeff’s wedding we were actually watching the weather as a hurricane was nearing the coast! It was supposed to skirt Hatteras Island later that night and into the next morning! So while we had planned to have our ceremony on the beach, we had to create another plan because there was literally NO beach! We ended up setting up the arch right there on the beach path in between the beach and the dunes and just made it work 🙂

The catering was provided by Cafe Pamlico who are local to Hatteras Island! The buffet spread, which included tons of vegan options too, was delicious! The Cupcakes were by Cotton Candy Baking Company – my favorite cupcakes ever! Hatteras Shuttle was on hand to make sure the wedding party made it to us at the venue on time and then gave guests a safe ride home at the end of the night.

Enjoy the photos below from Caroline Jarvis – such a fun, bright wedding for two of the sweetest people on the planet that was SUCH a joy to be a part of!
