Marissa & Brian’s Jennette’s Pier Wedding | Nags Head Wedding Planner

Marissa & Brian were married on a perfect OBX beach day – blue skies, sunshine, what more can you ask for at an Outer Banks Wedding?! They also chose an iconic OBX wedding venue, Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head! One of the most popular wedding venues, it offers a large indoor event space truly overlooking the ocean!

The ladies had hair & makeup done at It’s Royalty Salon in Downtown Manteo – their salon is right on Budleigh Street and offers an oasis for brides on their wedding day!

The ceremony was held on the beach right next to the pier and I Do OBX Chairs did an incredible job setting up the ceremony chairs & the arch. Marissa & Brian chose a bamboo post arch with white & teal draping to match their wedding colors & accented with starfish and a driftwood table for their sand ceremony! Rev. Jay Bowman officiated the ceremony on the beach and then guests were invited upstairs to the pier for cocktail hour. All of the rentals for the reception like linens, dance floor & dinnerware were from Metro Rental. One of the great things about Jennette’s Pier is that the dining tables & chairs are already included!

While the guests enjoyed delicious appetizers & cocktails from Red Sky Cafe, the wedding party took the OBX Trolley over to the Bodie Island Lighthouse for photos. If you’re not familiar with this lesser-known lighthouse, it’s only about 5-10 minutes from Nags Head and offers a gorgeous backdrop for photos!

After a delicious dinner served by Red Sky, guests were then treated to a gelato bar by Icing on the Cakes! Their gelato is delicious and definitely a unique spin on wedding desserts! Coastal DJ provided the fun with their DJ skills & party lights!
