One of my absolute favorite Outer Banks wedding venues is the Whalehead Club in Corolla! It is just such a beautiful, unique, historic location with views you can’t beat of the Currituck Sound and Currituck Lighthouse. Plus it’s right across from the beach if you want to do your ceremony or photos over there too! Megan & Carl chose Whalehead Club for their June wedding for pretty much all of those reasons!
Megan & her ladies were dolled up by the Lovie’s Salon crew on wedding day. Their ceremony was setup on the Point lawn of the Whalehead Club which is as close to waterfront as you possibly can be! I Do OBX Chairs setup chairs for all of their guests and also created the beautiful arch display! Flower Girls OBX then added the flowers! Tony Joseph of I DO OBX Weddings also officiated their ceremony – equal parts heartfelt and lighthearted!
After the marriage was official, guests enjoyed cocktail hour & reception on the South Lawn of the Whalehead Club. We secured a tent and all rentals from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals and I loved the fresh color palette of gold, mint & peach! Page of Flower Girls also provided the flowers for the reception decor which we added to a few specialty rentals from Renee Landry Events – the glittered gold candlesticks & votives! The gold chargers were from Renee too!
Currituck BBQ served up a full Southern feast for everyone including BBQ & all the fixings! The sweet treat after dinner were cupcakes from Cotton Candy Baking Company! My favorite? The cookies & cream for sure! Jeremy Russell of Outer Banks Wedding Entertainment was our musician & DJ for the evening and had the party going!
This was such beautiful day & night for two of the sweetest people and I’m so glad we had the amazing team of Candace Nichole Photography & Swell Video there to capture it all! Enjoy some (ok ALOT) of my favorite photos below & the highlight video too!
