Jennette’s Pier Wedding | Lindsey & Seth | Nags Head Wedding

You know the saying “you can’t have your cake and eat it too?” I think we all know that in most scenarios now, you pretty much can! In this case, Lindsey & Seth wanted a traditional Catholic church wedding BUT they also wanted to get married in one of their favorite places – the Outer Banks! Fortunately, they were able to do both! They held their ceremony at St. Andrews by the Sea and their reception at Jennette’s Pier. If you’re looking for a church on the Outer Banks to hold your wedding, there are actually a few great options including St. Andrews in Nags Head but also Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kitty Hawk, Our Lady of the Seas Catholic Church in Buxton, Corolla Chapel and a few others!

First Look Salon pampered Lindsey with makeup services for her wedding day and the wedding party arrived in style via OBX Trolley to the ceremony & reception!

After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to the beach to get some photos and the sky that evening was the most beautiful shade of blue – a different color than usual! Coleman Shots was there to capture all the goodness!

Once at Jennette’s Pier for the reception, guests were treated to dinner by Basnight’s Lone Cedar catering. Lone Cedar also provided bartenders and the clients rented kegerators from Brew Dolly to make sure the beer was cold & flowing perfectly all night! Another treat for guests? One of my personal childhood favorites – Ukrops Bakery cupcakes! If you grew up around the Richmond area like I did, you know all about Ukrops! When I was young, it was my neighborhood grocery store and they had the BEST bakery! Each Friday when grocery shopping with my mom & grandma (our weekly tradition!) I would get to pick a donut or donut holes for my Saturday breakfast! They also gave out rainbow cookies to kids if you asked and man did I love them! Every birthday cake I ever had was also baked by Ukrops! Years later the grocery stores closed down but the bakery has lived on. You can imagine the nostalgia was in full force when Lindsey & Seth had cupcakes from Ukrops for everyone!

Rentals for the reception were from Metro Rental, including the linens, dance floor & the bistro lighting! Guests were able to enjoy fun moments in the photo booth too, rented from Kitty Hawk Kites. Matt Cooper of Outer Banks Music Masters was the DJ for the evening and made sure everyone was up and dancing!

The gorgeous flowers & centerpieces were all created by Honeysuckle Events. Lindsey’s bouquet was incredible – one of my favorites – and full of lush blooms and succulents. For the pier décor, the centerpieces were a combination of styles and though simple, they all complimented perfectly with a slightly rustic but traditional style. I loved the mix of whites, pinks & greens and the way they worked with the grey & mint linen scheme! Honeysuckle also curated a beautiful focal point at the fireplace mantle.

This wedding proves you can still have a traditional wedding but in the Outer Banks, including a church service! Enjoy the photos below by Coleman Shots!
