Tonia & Derek’s Corolla Wedding – Outer Banks Wedding Planner

It’s always fun when your clients’ wedding includes all your favorite things – gold & blush, sequins, peonies, Duck Donuts….I could go on! Tonia & Derek lucked out with a perfect Spring day for an Outer Banks wedding in May at The Currituck Club in Corolla, NC. A Corolla wedding is so fun because you have the beach & ocean on one side and just across the street you can find the soundfront and & gorgeous sunsets! One of the most touching moments of this wedding was during the toasts. The Maid of Honor had reached out to me a couple weeks before the wedding to let me know that since she was pregnant, she wouldn’t be able to fly out from California to North Carolina for the wedding. She asked if I would be able to play a video as a surprise to the bride and of course the answer was yes! So when it came time to do the toasting, I had the screen and video ready to go and was able to play the recorded speech from the Maid of Honor for the bride and it was such a special surprise!  Sarah D’Ambra Photography did an amazing job capturing the joy of the day and Renee Landry Events wowed with the gorgeous decor & flowers! The gorgeous wedding cake by Great Cakes! was complimented with an OBX fave – Duck Donuts! After the touching vows by Bliss Wedding Company, Jeremy Russell entertained us with his acoustic talents through cocktail hour and then Coastal DJ took over to DJ the evening. The already stunning ladies were made even more beautiful for the day by the Glimmer team. Truly one of the most beautiful weddings of the year, it was such an honor to be a part of Tonia & Derek’s day!
