Amie & Andrew’s wedding at the Wild Horse Event Home in Carova was a dream! From the perfect North Carolina blue skies, to the beautiful florals including one of my favorites, peonies, and the all-star cast of vendors – it was one for the books! Amie & her ladies went down to the Lovie’s Salon in Corolla for their hair and makeup, and even came back with earrings to wear for the evening by local favorite, Goldielockes Jewelry! If you haven’t been to Lovie’s in the historic Corolla Village, you have to go check it out! Such a sweet little boho oasis!
The ceremony was officiated by one of my favorites, Rev. Jay Bowman, who always keeps things fun! All of the rentals were from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals, including the ceremony benches and then reception tables and chairs! I loved the mix of the farm tables for the head table & then rounds for guests, all with the Tuscan “x-back” chairs.
Renee Landry Events created the beautiful altar arrangements, the overflowing lantern centerpieces and the bouquets. Amie’s ALL Peony bouquet was something out of my dreams! So fluffy!
Jeremy Russell of Outer Banks Wedding Entertainment provided the musical talent for the evening and of course did not disappoint! Basnight’s Lone Cedar catered the reception, which featured a delicious buffet dinner. The cake was a masterpiece by Just Desserts – I LOVED the ruffled look and it was the most stunning sunset cake cutting.
Oftentimes at weddings I find myself looking around and just taking it all in…. usually around sunset or twilight. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the beauty and take a minute just to let it sink in and reflect on how fortunate I am to live in this beautiful place and get to share in such a special day with my clients. Amie & Andrew’s wedding day was definitely one of those times – I just kept pinching myself! From the stunning sunset, to the beautiful twilight that followed & the incredible full moon that rose over the ocean – it was just one of those days where you’re in awe that it’s real life!
