Change of Pace – Corolla Luau!

I LOVE weddings – I really do! But sometimes it’s nice to get to do something else for a little change of pace! Last year I was able to get creative and use my love of pineapples in a new way – for a Luau! In celebration of the completion of my client’s brand new Pine Island Reserve home, she wanted to invite friends, family & colleagues for a few small events at the new beach house, so we planned luaus!

I rented a gorgeous palm-patterned linen from BBJ Linen for the cocktail tables and had Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals provide all the other linen and rentals for the parties. For centerpieces, we used pineapples (of course!) that I spray painted silver to go with the colors of the house and accented these with some candles and cake stands I had. The finishing touch were the authentic Hawaiian leis – flown in from the Islands the night before the events – that all the guests were greeted with and the extras we added to the tablescapes! Simple setup, but perfect for a backyard luau to show off an incredible new home!

Red Sky Cafe created a custom luau-themed menu for us and the food & presentation were perfect. To complete the island-vibe, we had Minsky of Hear Steel Drums Play providing live steel drum tunes throughout the evening!

You’ve got to check out this GORGEOUS Twiddy rental home – Happy Ours, Happy Yours – in the new Pine Island Reserve of Corolla – it’s a stunning oceanfront beach house! Although it’s not a special event home for weddings, it’s still the perfect rental home with so many amenities! They even have their own Facebook!

Please pardon the iPhone quality photos – I know they aren’t the best but I wanted to share a few from this fun event!

Yours,

Ashley
