Charlene & Scott’s Corolla Wedding – Outer Banks Wedding Planner

Happy Wedding Wednesday! How is it almost May already?! Spring has been flying by and that means it’s been almost one full year since this Memorial Weekend Wedding in Corolla last year! This sweet couple chose an event house for their May Outer Banks Wedding – the quaint “Family Ties” by Twiddy in Corolla! This house has so many great features including a guest house for the bride & her bridesmaids to use as a bridal suite to get ready in and a HUGE lawn that can be tented! It’s tough to find a house in Corolla, NC with such an amazing lawn space for weddings and this one is just about perfect! It’s also very close to Old Corolla Village, the Currituck Lighthouse & The Whalehead Club which are all great spots for pictures!

One of my favorite things about this wedding was the use of long, family-style table seating instead of individual tables – it made for such a great look and the long tablescapes were so fun! This couple chose to DIY their decor and it turned out perfectly – an eclectic mix that wasn’t too rustic or beachy! They also incorporated different “green” elements into their wedding, including reusable plastic water goblets & wooden silverware.  Currituck BBQ Company provided a delicious spread of Eastern North Carolina favorites – Pulled Pork, BBQ Ribs, and more traditional Southern Fare. Coastal DJ took care of the party with a great selection of music and Reverend Tanya Young led the beautiful ceremony on the beach. The end result was a a beautiful, fun & colorful Outer Banks wedding! Ashley
