With over 10 years of Outer Banks wedding experience, I'm ready & able to take your wedding ideas and turn them into a reality, all while making it easy for you!"
Last year I had back to back weddings at Grande Ritz Palm, one week apart from each other! Becca & Dan chose the Duck event home for their August wedding and thankfully we had better weather than the week before!
The Glimmer team was back onsite glamming up Becca & her girls but all of the other vendors were different. One of my favorite things about my job is getting to work with so many different vendors each week!
The ceremony was held on the event home grounds, but instead of facing the soundfront, we setup facing the house. Since the back yard of the Grande Ritz Palm looks like a perfectly manicured Mediterranean villa, it makes for a pretty backdrop! A family friend officiated the ceremony. One of the unique components in their ceremony? Becca & Dan took a shot at the end! That’s how you get the party started! Guests were soon in the same boat as they were greeted to cocktail hour also with a tequila shot as the way they found their seating assignment!
Back at the event home for the wedding reception, Mulligan’s served a delicious dinner and Coastal DJ kept the party going. Becca & Dan also included one of my favorite things ever – CONFETTI – in their first dance! Halfway through their dance, the wedding party rushed them and let off confetti cannons! YES!!
All of the decor for the wedding was DIY! The bride ordered wood flowers for the bouquets, boutonnières as well as loose ones that we added in to the tablescapes alongside mixed candles!
