Kill Devil Hills Event Home Wedding | Lizzy & Joe | Kill Devil Hills Wedding

Lizzy & Joe held their Kill Devil Hills wedding at The Crown Jewel event home via Carolina Designs last October and it was one of those perfect fall days that still sort of felt like summer! Their ceremony was on the beach with just close family & friends and officiated by Tony of I Do OBX Weddings. The I Do OBX Chairs crew was also on hand for the chairs & arch! After the ceremony, the wedding guests were invited to enjoy a poolside cocktail hour while the wedding party took a few photos on the beach. This wedding all around was a classic – from the short navy dresses the bridesmaids wore to the pink, navy & gold color palette to the white hydrangeas! Lizzy ordered all of her flowers online and then created her own bouquets & centerpieces!

The house itself has a gorgeous neutral living & dining area that we used for the dinner. Even better, the house’s  dining tables are massive and a beautiful farm table style! So we just added a head table outside on the balcony overlooking the ocean and we had plenty of seating for everyone! Black Pelican served up a delicious buffet and then we ended dinner with a yummy cake from Just Desserts!

After dinner, cake & toasts, everyone headed back downstairs to the pool deck for Lizzy & Joe’s first dance. Coastal DJ’s Matthew Styles kicked off a great dance party and then it didn’t take long for that to turn into a pool party! One of the perks of an event home wedding 🙂

Courtney Hathaway Photography captured this beautiful blue sky day and the incredible “reverse” sunset that followed – check out the gorgeous images below!
