Pine Island Lodge Wedding | Amy & Jacob | Corolla Wedding

Amy & Jacob were married on a summer day with a very Outer Banks-style pop up thunderstorm! While this wreaked a little havoc on the wedding, causing a false start ceremony, then an impromptu pre-ceremony cocktail hour and delay in actual vows, the couple still got married and the photos are pretty incredible with the storm clouds! PS – this storm literally came barreling in from the West and brought with it winds so high that things were flying and we lost our arch! Good thing they were at the Pine Island Lodge with lots of indoor spaces to celebrate!

The ladies of Lovies Salon pampered Amy & her girls in the bridal suite. The Groom’s brother Tom officiated the ceremony. The ceremony chairs, arch & florals were all by I Do OBX! When we had to retreat inside for the storm delay, Currituck BBQ was able to start cocktail hour early for the guests while we waited it out. We had the family take some photos together in the meantime and then eventually we tried again!

After a successful second attempt at the ceremony, the rest of the night left us with perfect weather and a wonderful time! Dinner was catered by Currituck BBQ Company and the cupcakes were by Sweet-e-pies!

Reception lighting & decor was by I Do OBX Weddings & Events and additional rentals were from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. DJ Bruce did the music for ceremony & reception!

Coastal Shots Photography was able to capture the wild storm, the special moments and the beautiful sunset! See some of my faves below!
