Pelican's Landing Wedding | Heidi & James | Corolla Wedding | Southern Hospitality Weddings & Events

Heidi & James chose Pelican’s Landing event home in Corolla, NC for their Outer Banks Wedding last June and they were just amazing to work with! These two felt like friends more than clients – always the goal! – and that helped us to create a wedding that was uniquely them! One of the things I loved most about their wedding is that it was – DIFFERENT! They didn’t follow the normal wedding timeline or “rules” and instead created their dream wedding, no one else’s!

The wedding was actually created around the idea of 4 portions – the pre-ceremony cocktail hour, the ceremony, the second cocktail hour and then the dance party! Appetizers & dinner stations were also staged out by Coastal Provisions during each time so guests never went hungry and then Duck Donuts were the sweet treat at the end instead of a wedding cake. Coastal Provisions also provided the bartending but the clients also rented kegerators via Growlers to Go in Duck.

The ladies were all glammed up by the Glimmer Salon team and everyone looked stunning! A close friend of the couple, Paul, who actually can be credited with connecting the two was the one who officiated over the ceremony on the beach. My favorite member of the wedding party though was the flower girl, sweet Layla! I couldn’t get enough of their pup!

The guests were rocked by the tunes from Silver Bullets out of Richmond, VA via East Coast Entertainment and the dance floor was never less than packed!

The tent and most of the rentals were brought in by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals but we also added in some fun lounges by Amaranth & Artifact for soft seating! Heidi & James chose not to do full seating for everyone since we were doing more cocktail style and not a formal dinner. We had 2 lounges, cocktail tables and then about 6 tables guests could sit at if they wanted! Flower Girls OBX did all the florals and some of my favorites were the greens on arch on the beach and the tent chandeliers dripping in greens as well!

Heidi & James brought in a photographer from Michigan, Amanda Dumouchelle and she captured the day so beautifully! Enjoy the overload of images below!
