Whalehead Club Wedding | Francie & Matt | Corolla Wedding

Francie & Matt wed at the beautiful Whalehead Club last year and their wedding was effortless, classic, fun!

The ladies got ready in Duck with hair & makeup by Lovie’s Salon and then after a first look there on the beach at the Duck house, everyone hopped on the OBX Trolley headed to Corolla for photos on the manicured Currituck Lighthouse grounds. Wedding party was kept super small so pre-ceremony most of those photos and family portraits were knocked out.

The ceremony itself was on the Point at The Whalehead Club, surrounded by family, friends & the Currituck Sound! A family friend officiated and chairs were setup by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals.

After the ceremony, Francie & Matt took a few more photos on the waterfront and then cocktail hour & reception were hosted on the North Lawn of Whalehead Club! This side of the Whalehead Club still offers the water views, but also the iconic foot bridge, boat house and even glimpses of the lighthouse.

The reception rentals, including the tent, were also Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals and a family friend did all the florals & decor. Steamers caterered the celebration and the cake was by Just Desserts.

One of my favorite bands, Lucky Pocket via Sam Hill Bands, rocked the party and the dance floor!

At the end of the night, all guests were given a safe ride home with OBX Trolley & Corolla Trolley doing a tag team shuttle!

Francie & Matt brought in family friend but also renowned photographer, Patricia Lyons, for their wedding! Enjoy some of my favorites from the day below!
