Black Stallion Wedding | Melissa & Bobby | Corolla Wedding

Melissa & Bobby got married on one of those days – the kind where the weather can’t make up it’s mind, keeps doing things it’s. not calling for, etc… basically a planner’s worst nightmare! We set up everything for Plan A and were fortunate to get photos of that – woo! Only to have to move it all inside to Plan B a little while later. Hence the weird change in reception location you’ll see in the photos below! Thank goodness we were at The Black Stallion so we have lots of space and options to work with!

The vibe for this wedding was classic romantic, mixed with a little bit of clean & modern lines and Renee Landry nailed it! Melissa’s bouquet was a tight wrap of all roses which complimented her very tailored dress. Centerpieces were lush greenery garland with a few roses mixed in and accented with candles. We kicked the place settings up a notch with the gold chargers and flatware from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. Tables, linens & chairs were also from Ocean Atlantic!

Thankfully even with all the moving around, we were able to find a dry window for the ceremony and I’m so grateful for that! The ceremony setup was unique and something we didn’t want to lose! Instead of traditional seating, we had small lounge groupings from Amaranth & Artifact for guests to enjoy! The ceremony was very short and then this space instantly become our cocktail hour & mingling space! Jeremy Russell played acoustic for that low key but swanky vibe the couple was going for!

Also during this window we were able to get some great photos, including taking the vintage settee in the truck to the photo location for some killer photos of the newlyweds. Anything for the shot!!

Red Sky catered a delicious buffet dinner and also did the bartending for everyone. After dinner we were so fortunate that the rain cleared so we moved the party back outside for dancing and dessert! The cake was from Patty Bakes and cut with a saber – yes please! Guests also enjoyed additional mini desserts by Red Sky Catering!

Here are some of my favorite images of this sweet couple & their beautiful day by Genevieve Stewart Photography.
